Wilna Pond-Rose Mallows, Clean Water and Blue Sky

Come celebrate National Wildlife Refuge week at your local Wildlife Refuge October 2-6th! Come visit your local wildlife refuge to catch a glimpse of the migrating song birds that use Rappahannock River Valley NWR as a rest stop. Our Fall blooming flowers will be open and inviting the late butterflies, bees and other pollinators to take a drink. Any weekday come visit the Headquarters on the Wilna Tract and take a look at the historic ~170 year old plantation home. We offer non-lead weight fishing on the refuge, hiking and walking trails, wildlife photography blinds, and viewing platforms at designated locations. We have 5 tracts open to the public year-round from sun up to sun set:

The Wilna Tract, Laurel Grove Tract and Welford Tract of Richmond County, the Hutchinson Tract of Essex County, and the Port Royal Tract of King George County.
