To preserve the rural heritage of the Northern Neck of Virginia by conserving its lands, water, economies and culture for future generations. Our working goals are to conserve and protect the Chesapeake Bay and its watersheds; to preserve the Northern Neck’s unique historic sites and its rural heritage; to educate landowners and the public on responsible stewardship of the Northern Neck; and to maintain an effective organization to ensure mission success.

Details

The NNLC will conserve 200 acres annually (2016 to 2019) with the goal of forever conserving 1000 new acres of the most valuable conservation lands in the Northern Neck by the year 2020. The NNLC will be promoted through an annual educational event, community events, youth partnerships, speaking engagements and media. It will hold successful “Boots and BBQ” with increased community support, participate in Farmers Markets and various regional outreach events and partner with allied organizations for education, and educate youth and general public about conservation. The NNLC will increase revenue from membership donors, sponsors, corporate donors, (VISION 2020) bequests, license plate revenues and grants, increase membership and donor support, increase corporate and estate donors, and license plate revenue.
