Educational Videos Available on the Rappahannock Wildlife Refuge Friends Website

The new Cat Point Creek Unit of the Rappahannock River Valley National Wildlife Refuge is now home to a 100′ fishing pier with a 30′ platform at the end.  Since the unit is not yet ready for opening, the Friends have produced 4 videos with the help of the Refuge staff. These videos highlight Cat Point Creek and its diverse ecosystem, explain the eco-friendly design of the pier, and show the best rigs and techniques to use to catch those big fish. Check out the videos at: https://rwrfriends.org/visit/cat-point-creek/. Pass this information on to teachers and other educators who may want to use them in their lesson plans. Once the unit is open, make sure to visit the actual pier and enjoy catching your own fish on the pier.
