Wetlands Watch has released a new resource: “Designing Living Shorelines for Sea Level Rise in Virginia.

This comprehensive document is tailored specifically for shoreline professionals seeking sustainable and adaptive solutions to combat the challenges posed by rising sea levels and coastal hazards.

The project was funded by the Virginia Coastal Zone Management Program and is the product of more than a year of collaboration from a work group of living shoreline professionals.

On December 11, 2024 Wetlands Watch held a Lunch and Learn webinar about the history of the project and provided an overview of the new resource. You can watch a recording of the meeting here.
