Please join us for the Westmoreland County Spring 2024 Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Collection event on Saturday, May 18, 2024, from 9AM-2PM. This event will be held at the A. T. Johnson Building parking lot in Montross. EXCITING NEWS – Westmoreland County has REMOVED the fee charge for HHW! Residents & property owners will NO LONGER be charged a weight fee for the household hazardous waste.
PLEASE BRING spent fluorescent bulbs, unwanted pesticides, antifreeze, rechargeable batteries, cleaners, oil-based paint, stains, solvents, old/contaminated fuels or petroleum products, and household chemicals.
At this event, C&F Bank in Montross is sponsoring the Shred-it truck to attend for onsite document shredding. Westmoreland County Sheriff’s will also be present to collect prescription drugs.
DO NOT BRING electronics, automotive batteries, tires, radioactive items or ammunition and explosives.
EVENT IS OPEN TO WESTMORELAND COUNTY RESIDENTS AND PROPERTY OWNERS ONLY.-
