Northumberland County residents and property owners: Bring your old, outdated and unwanted household chemicals AND old, outdated or broken electronics to the Northumberland Middle School’s parking lot (normally used for buses) accessible directly off of Rt. 360 in Heathsville, this Saturday, May 4 from 9AM-2PM. This is the perfect time to dispose of used motor oil, old gasoline, pesticides, cleaning products, oil based paint and solvents. We will also take flourescent bulbs and CFLs, pool chemicals, and many other substances. Please DO NOT bring tires, car batteries, medical waste, ammunition, radioactive items, old medications or anything that is explosive.
Old, outdated or broken electronics may be dropped off on site as well. We will accept rechargeable batteries, old TVs, computers, monitors, cell phones, printers, scanners, and similar items. No appliances, please.
