The Northumberland County Spring 2022 Household Hazardous Waste and E-Waste (HHW/E-Waste) collection will take place on Saturday, April 30, 2022 from 9am-2pm at Northumberland County Middle School Bus Parking Lot on Route 360 in Heathsville. Social distancing measures will be in place for the safety of everyone. All event workers will wear gloves and masks. The public is asked to remain in their vehicles at all times and to pack items for the collection in an accessible part of the vehicle for easy removal by the event crew. Everyone is asked to please wear a mask should it be necessary to speak to the event crew through their vehicle windows.
Northumberland County residents and property owners are encouraged to bring old household chemicals such as oil-based paint, cleaners, solvents, old or used petroleum products, pool chemicals, pesticides, spent florescent bulbs, and CFL bulbs to the event. Electronic items such as old TVs, printers, computers, monitors, and cell phones are also accepted. There is no charge to drop these items off, however, the collection is limited to Richmond County residents and property owners only.
Please do not bring ammunition, radioactive materials, tires, car batteries, medical waste, prescription drugs, and latex paint.
