Rappahannock River Valley National Wildlife Refuge is excited to announce Refuge Week from October 10-16! This virtual event will have multiple activities each day on our Rappahannock River Valley Facebook Page with fun contests, wildlife facts, and opportunities to get out and explore your National Wildlife Refuge. Information about Refuge Week can be found on the Rappahannock River Valley National Wildlife Refuge landing page and on our Facebook Page.

Come out and celebrate National Wildlife Refuge Week (October 10-16) with us at Rappahannock River Valley National Wildlife Refuge. Throughout the week, we will be posting information for various activities such as scavenger hunts, track ID worksheets, adventures with Puddles (our blue goose mascot), Walk for the Wild 5k, guided kayak paddles on Cat Point Creek, and much more. We are additionally holding a Bird Calling Contest (all ages) and Drawing Contest (ages 12 and under), see details below on how to submit your entries by October 10. Be sure not to miss these opportunities to celebrate conservation and our local wildlife with Refuge Week!
