Join the Clean-Up Team at Belle Isle, Aug. 17

Serve your community and earn service hours by helping a park ranger tidy up the trails at the Second Annual Community Service Project Day, Thursday August 17, 2017, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Belle Isle State Park in Lancaster VA.

Leisurely stroll down a couple of the park’s most popular trails, Watch House Trail and Porpoise Creek Trail, while helping to improve our trails by picking up litter and maintaining the corridor. All volunteers are welcome. Total trail distance will be about 2 miles.

Participants should wear clothes appropriate for working in brush and bring sunscreen, bug spray, a reusable water bottle, and a friend.

Registration is recommended. Participants 14 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
