Gardening in the Northern Neck Seminar – March 23, 2019

Please join the Northern Neck Master Gardeners and Virginia Cooperative Extension for the 26th annual Gardening in the Northern Neck Seminar on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at the White Stone Church of the Nazarene in White Stone.  Information about the Seminar is available at www.nnmg.org. The theme of this year’s Seminar is “The Resilient Garden: Planning and Planting for Changing Conditions,” with the following speakers and presentations:

  • Jenny Rose Carey – Senior Director of the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society’s Meadowbrook Farm – Presentation:  Glorious Shade Gardens – Dazzling Plants, Design Ideas, and Proven Techniques for Your Shady Garden;
  • Joe Lamp’l – Creator and Host of Growing a Greener World – Presentation:  Creating a Garden to Weather Any Storm;
  • Joe Murray – Certified Arborist, Lecturer and Writer – Presentation:  Zen and the Art of Composting.

The registration fee is $35.00, and an optional box lunch will be available for an additional charge.  Registration forms will be available February 1, 2019, at www.nnmg.org or by calling the Virginia Cooperative Extension Northumberland Country Extension Office at 804-580-5694.
